** Girlfriends **

I have to say, I believe friendship is something that constantly needs work. It involves looking back in the mirror and realizing who you truly are and who you want to surround yourself with. I’ve had many people in my life that I thought were “friends” but I have realized the hard way, as many people probably have, who your true friends are. I believe people come in and out of your life at different times, for different reasons, but those that you want to remain close with, always will. I love my friends and would do anything I could for them.. not all of them are in this picture, but these are some of the best women I know…and a few of my favorite quotes about friendship…

“Don’t walk behind me; I may not lead. Don’t walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend”

“Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you  want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down. “

“A friend is one who knows us, but loves us anyways”

    Pam,

You put that perfectly! I know you moved away for a while so I am sure you can relate, but when I moved to Ada, not one of my girlfriends came to visit me the entire year, but some of my friends would get mad at me if I couldn’t make time to see them when I came home for two days on a weekend. It’s hard. My parents want to see me, and Ross and I both have divorced parents, so we had 4 places to visit. My true friends, were the ones who understood that and understood that I would see them when I could, but I always offered for them to come and stay and visit with me any weekend. Then when Ross and I moved to West Virginia, we really found out who our friends were. Some people just stopped calling. It’s sad, but I think friendships change as life change. The ones who stick by you no matter what are truly gems. We are so lucky to have good friends. If we can count the number of friends on one hand, we are truly blessed. I love your friend quotes! I really hope we can hang out before I move back to Ada at the end of the summer! I’m so happy to hear about your engagement! I hope you are having a great time with all of the planning! xoxo
